WHERE OUTCASTS BECOME FAMILY

BVM Assistant

Origin Story

In the uncertain days of early 2020, as the world retreated into isolation, a small group of friends from San Diego found themselves drawn together by a common feeling of being outsiders in conventional circles. What began as casual meetups to escape the loneliness of lockdown evolved into something more meaningful – a realization that together, we formed a family unlike any other. Gathering around bonfires, sharing stories of feeling misunderstood, and finding laughter in our shared experiences, we discovered something powerful in our collective differences. By summer 2020, under star-filled skies, we officially founded the Blair Valley Misfits, creating a home for those who had always felt they existed on society's margins but who, together, formed the center of something extraordinary.

Mission Statement

Blair Valley Misfits stands as a sanctuary for those who march to the beat of their own drums. Founded on the principle of "Fortior Unitum" – Stronger United – we believe that true strength comes from embracing our authentic selves and standing together as a family bound not by blood, but by shared values and mutual respect. We challenge societal norms not for rebellion's sake, but to create space for genuine connection in a world that often prioritizes conformity over character. At BVM, we celebrate the power found in our differences and build a community where individuality is not just accepted but honored.
